2025-10-28

High altitude operations are a difficult and dangerous task for cleaning companies, but at the same time, it is a lucrative business project. A high-rise building, exposed to wind and rain, cannot be cleaned. Only by doing a good job of cleaning in a timely manner can external wall surface damage be avoided or reduced. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a detailed introduction to high-altitude operations, cleaning of exterior walls or glass curtain walls in curtain wall engineering.

In contemporary architecture, many people design glass curtain walls, which are beautiful and elegant, but difficult to clean and maintain, especially after wind and rain, glass curtain walls often become extremely dirty. Do you know how to clean glass curtain walls?

1. Ordinary cleaning

Use soft, lint free dust-free fabric and neutral soap, paint cleaner, or slightly acidic cleaning solvent. Immediately rinse with clean water after washing, and then use a clean rubber to scrape off any remaining moisture.

2. Solvent cleaning

It can also be cleaned with solvents such as xylene, toluene, inorganic alcohol, etc. These solvents can be used to remove grease and polish materials, then cleaned once before rinsing. Be careful not to use too strong solvents, otherwise it will damage the sealant on the glass.

3. Solid cleaning

If there are stains on the surface of the glass, you can first scrape off these stains with a scraper, then clean them with a cleaning agent, and then rinse them with water.

Precautions for cleaning glass curtain walls:

1. Install safety protection ropes or safety warning signs on the ground.

2. To ensure safety, operations are not allowed in strong winds or rainy or snowy weather.

3. The operating tools of the operator should be tied to the hanging basket or hanging board to prevent accidental falling and injuring pedestrians.

4. When applying cleaning agent, it should be rolled up and down and moved horizontally.

5. After all work is completed, organize equipment and tools, remove protective ropes or warning signs from the ground, and wipe off surface water stains.
